POST MENOPAUSE



Post Menopause is a period when a woman's menstrual cycle has ceased completely. The most distinct difference between post menopause and menopause is the decrease in symptoms for example, hot flashes become less frequent and less powerful.


Most clinicians believe that the postmenopausal phase starts when a full year of 12 months passes after the most recent menstrual period. Some estrogen keeps on being produced by adrenals but in reduced amount. The ovaries in post menopause begin to shrink, but they are still relevant in the body since some vital hormones namely testosterone are produced there. Testosterone in a Female is a crucial hormone for maintaining bone, sex drive, and energy and muscle strength. Several post menopause women starts to see liberation from menopause symptoms by this time.

Every woman experiences Post menopause in a different way. There is no definite age which after menopause occurs and also the cessation or lack of the symptoms varies differently.
